Hi, I'm Cosmo, a friendly 1 year old German Shepherd. I'm waiting for my forever family.
Cosmo's previous owners had him since he was a puppy. He was well-loved but, with a 7 year old daughter, and a baby soon to be walking, the owners became concerned about the dog's energy and anxiety around the young girl. This was especially true when the 7-year-old didn’t always give him his personal space as she wanted to be with him all the time. Concerned both for their children and keeping the dog safe - they made the heartbreaking decision to explore rehoming Cosmo.
The evaluation went very well, and Cosmo showed himself to have great promise. We placed him in foster home with an experienced GSD person that has really brought this young boy along to his full potential. The foster home includes a young female GSD and she and Cosmo have become best-friends and love to play together. We feel Cosmo would do best in a home with children in their teens but, not young children. A home that will continue with the obedience training a young dog like him needs.
