My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Andy is a 2-3 year old, 50 pound gem of a dog ready for a fresh start in a forever home. Andy found himself on the wrong side of the law when he was picked up for chasing the neighbor’s chickens. Now, we all know that responsible pet parents need to do their best to keep their dogs out of trouble and Andy was just doing what his doggo brain told him to do (who isn’t a little crazy for some chicken nuggies?) but he ended up in the doggie slammer. Andy has now sworn off all poultry (but still definitely requires a poultry free home because we all know the heart wants what it wants) and is ready to live life on the straight and narrow….he has turned over a whole new leaf. Andy likes other dogs, is treat motivated, and loves people. He enjoys rambling around the yard, rides nicely in the car, and walks well on the leash. He thinks the garden hose is terribly upsetting and cannot be convinced to go for a swim but he is rather stoic when it comes to bath time. If you are looking for a new best friend, can overlook past poultry problems, have lots of good treats and maybe even some chicken nuggies (Andy was very clear that we should add that to his bio), Andy could be your guy.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 12pm-2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
