My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transpots our dogs once they have been adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org

We are guessing at the breeds on this pup. He is brindle like the Tenessee Treeing Brindle (which is a cur), and has the silky coat, and lazy attitude of the clumber spaniel.

Just look at my sweet face!! I have the shaggy ears and sweet disposition of a Clumber Spaniel and the brindle coloring of a Treeing Tennessee Brindle!! Just imagine the smarts and people orientation that are in my genetics!!

At 4 months young, I am a blank slate and eager to learn!! My gentle disposition and guileless nature make me the perfect candidate for a sweet companion dog. Foster Mum says that I am the most laid back and easy going puppy she has ever fostered!! I just try to fit in and not cause Foster Mum any trouble!!

I love going for walks, playing in water, snuggling with Foster Mum, and wrastlin' with the other puppies!! I am the quietest and least dominant of our puppy group. Sometimes, Foster Mum has to correct the other puppies for playing too rough! But, I don't hold any grudges; I just pick myself up and shake it off. Then I am ready to play again!

At only 20 pounds of sweetness, I will be around a 40-45 pound doggie when I reach my full adult size. My house training is going good and I rarely have accidents. I like to play with my own toys, but have never chewed up anything that didn't belong to me!! Unbelievalbe, right? I am crate trained and leash trained and am learning "sit". I am a quiet little dude and rarely bark or make noise. I sometimes like to just sit quietly and watch the craziness of the other puppies and dogs. I am a little shy when meeting new people, but am true blue and loyal to my hooman once I understand that you are a friend.

There are some ginormous critters on my Foster Family's ranch called "HORSE". I don't pay them no never mind, but just mind my own beeswax when we pass them in the pasture; plenty of room for us all!! I don't chase any of the wildlife, either. I have something that is referred to as "low prey drive"...whatever that means!!

I am "low energy" and "low maintenance" for any dog, but particularly for a puppy!! While I enjoy my walks, I do not need to run a marathon or catch the ball 400 times to be happy!! A nice stroll around the block or to the coffe house suits me fine. I enjoy getting snuggled, but am not going to be all over my hooman demanding constant attention.

If there is room in your heart and hearth for a sweet, laid back, easy going little dude that just wants tummy scritches and love, then I am your guy!!
