My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JJ & Trooper met about a month ago. They were in separate foster homes but Trooper came along on a car ride with me and we had to make a stop at JJ's foster. We think it was BFF love at first sight. The two were instantly happy to see each other. Once in the house and off-leash, they played endlessly until they tired each other out. A few weeks later, we had a shift in foster schedules and they were moved into the same foster home.

Fosters, who spend much time with the dogs, offer great information that helps us place the dogs in their forever homes. Well, JJ & Trooper's foster said, 'Oh, these two must stay together!' Both dogs love people very much. Any kids in the home should be at least 12 years old and of a responsible and kind nature.

They should be the only two dogs in the home so that the dynamic between them doesn't change. They LOVE to run and play so a yard with grass is a must (fake grass is okay). They are not good candidates for apartment or condo type living; they are not candidates for a dog park, or for always having to be walked for potty breaks. These boys want to run and play in their own family yard.

JJ is a Havanese/Schnoodle mix around 10 months old. He is soft and luxurious. In his past, he was filthy and matted, sullen and edgy, as he spent the first part of his life chained to a tree in a yard of dirt. Now, he is an incredibly happy, loving, playful puppy. We hope he has completely forgotten his past!

Trooper is a 2.5yr old Shih Tzu / terrier mix. He was found as a stray months ago and the nice family who found him was never able to find his owner. They loved him very much but their work days were long and he deserved more than being stuck at home alone all day. They asked us to find him a fabulous home... and that's what we do!

We know there's someone or a family who is perfect for this darling duo. Both boys have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.
