Flash & Sasha were confiscated by Hayward Animal Control along with eight other dogs from a hoarding situation. Everyone lived in a single hotel room. All of the dogs were related (puppies having puppies . . . ). Four of the dogs were fixed and returned to the owner, while the other six were left at the shelter. None of them were deemed “adoptable” and no other rescue group would take any of them, so Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs pulled all six into multiple foster homes. Flash & Sasha has struggled in their new environment.
Our understanding was that having 10 related, unfixed dogs in a small place generated a lot of squabbling, which then led to their confiscation. Flash & Sasha seem to be still affected by that. They lived in a foster home with lots of dogs, that did not go well. So they were transferred to our new adoption center to stay until we can secure a foster or forever home with no other dogs.
All of the other dogs from that situation have been adopted. Sasha & Flash are the remaining 2. Once they warm up to you, they are very sweet, friendly little dogs that love attention. They are also quite content to be left alone with each other. They would be perfekt for a home where the humans are at work all day.
They have warmed up to a number of volunteers who spend time with them throughout the week. The volunteers have gotten them comfortable on leashes. They can still be shy with new people, but that doesn’t seem to last too long. Under a controlled/supervised situation, they do fine with other dogs, but they should be the only dogs living in the foster/forever home.
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.

We specialize in "hard to place dogs" due to their breed, age, minor behavioral or medical conditions. We strive to keep our fees reasonable ($125), and we have sponsorship funds to help with fees, if needed.
After the application is approved, the prospective adopter must take the dog on a trial-basis "sleepover" for a few days, before finalizing the adoption.
We require landlord approval if the applicant is renting their living space.
We only do adoptions in San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding regions.
We DO NOT adopt to families with children under the age of 13.
