My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Diva and my personality matches!

I was part of a hoarding case where my home had more than they could handle so I was brought into a shelter and then transferred to the rescue to help me find my forever home. In December 2022 I will have been in rescue care for 2 yrs! I would really love to find my forever family, is it you?

Fun Facts about me! I am currently 38 inches long and my girth is 6 inches and I am a little neurotic about my food. I love being held once I feel confident that I am safe.

Coming from a home with so many, my handling time was limited so I am still learning but it's ok, I'm just shy at first so you will need to take it slow with me so we can become best friends! Being nocturnal, I spend most of the day sleeping in my hide but I do like to come out in the evening to socialize. I am doing so much better now!

My foster mom says 'Diva loves to be on display in the evenings. She will need a front opening enclosure to help her feel secure when being taken out to be handled. She will need someone who is patient and can work with her shyness. She is simply lovely.'

Though there is no way to really tell what age I am, based on my size I am considered an adult. My species can live a long and healthy life of up to 30 to 40 years. Bringing me into your family is a lifelong commitment, for both of us!

Adult female ball pythons will average 3 to 5 feet long, and adult male ball pythons average 2 to 3 feet in size. As a full adult, I can weigh between 3 and 5 lbs.

I will require my own habitat that is secure with the right diet, habitat, substrate, temperature, and humidity. Don’t worry, the rescue will provide you with all the information that you will need to prepare for my arrival.
