My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they have been adopted. All of our foster dogs reside in TX. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org

According to Urban Dictionary, Leeloo is " A strong, beautiful, weird and intriguing young lady." Hmmmmm, well...I guess that might sum me up?!

I am a one year old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) mix. I have the "intriguing" facade that I am wearing kohl colored "eye liner and mascara"......definitely permanent (and natural) eye make up for me!!

True to my Heeler hairytage, I have a high energy level and love to play with other dogs. My favorite games are wrastlin' and tag!! I will get the zommies and go running around the play yard in circles,,it makes Foster Mum laugh and laugh!!

I really want to learn to be a "Good Dog" and am always looking to foster mum for guidance and assistance. Australian Cattle Dogs are known for their intelligence and I am not an exception to that!! AKC says this about my breed; "
"Smart, hardy, independent, stubborn, tenacious, energetic, and untiring— these are all traits essential to a driver of headstrong cattle, and all traits of the Australian Cattle Dog. Given challenging mental and hard physical exercise daily, this breed is among the most responsive and obedient of dogs"

I will do best in an active home where I get the attention and activity that I need; perhaps with someone who jogs or likes to go hiking? With my natural athleticism. I would also do well in obedience and agility trials.

My favorite rub spot is...anywhere!! I love getting attention and scritches on my head and ears, belly and back!!

At 48 pounds, I have almost reached my full adult weight, give or take a few pounds.....depending on treat intake!! Man, do I Love treast!!

If you are looking for an extremely intelligent, active and "intriguing" canine companion, I am your gal!!
