My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Peaches and I want all the nice people at CEBR to know how grateful I am to be with my new Foster Mom & Dad. I was raised in a home with my Bulldog Brother and a golden retriever so it was a busy home. Life sometimes takes unplanned and really tough turns and my family did the best for me by trusting CEBR. They knew they would work very hard to find me a loving and perfect home.

So much has happened in such a short time, let me tell you. I’ve already been out to see Dr. Maloney for my check-up. What fun that was, when I got there, I greeted all the other dogs waiting for their appointment. I get along with other dogs so that was awesome. The doctor said I was well behaved and very polite. I was sent home with some bulldog basics for my ears and tail pocket. I’m doing pretty good getting my cleaning & maintenance every day, my foster Mom & Dad have done this before so they are gentle. My appointment to be spayed is in a few weeks and in the meantime I am ready to have visitors meet me. I'm eager to find my furever family.

The setup I have to live in is really cool. When I got to my new home, I was a bit timid and afraid to leave the landing in their house, so I’ve claimed this as my place. It’s my safe place, right next to the back door, carpeted, full air-con, my dog bed fits, my water bowl and I eat there too! It’s perfect, I’ve been in their Kitchen and it’s really nice but I prefer “Peaches Place” aka the landing. I mentioned it’s right next to the back door, which makes it easy to get out to their huge back yard and I love being outside when it’s not too hot out. My foster mom keeps an eye out not to let me be outside too long on the humid, hot days we’ve had lately but it’s cooling off a bit, especially in the mornings.

My foster mom has started taking me out for walks and I have to say, I really like it. I never did walks before so I’m learning how to walk on a leash. It takes a long time just to get down the street because I am curious and want to stop a lot but I’m getting the hang of it. I like to visit when there are other dogs walking or the kids are waiting for the bus, they like to pet me and say how cute I am and I love the attention. Other dogs like to bark when they see me, but I don’t, my foster mom praises me for being so good with other people and dogs. She says I have very good manners.
I am potty trained (I did have only one accident cause I was in a part of their house I wasn’t familiar with) otherwise I know I have to go outside. I like mealtime, I have one cup of food in the morning and at night. I'm going to start a new diet soon with a healthy blend, I'm sure I'll like it.

My foster Mom & Dad are giving me so much TLC, lots of hugs, making it nice that I am the only pet in their home, but I think I might like a home with another dog to play with and keep me company. I’m very gentle, quiet and really like to be around people or another dog.

I think I'm going to be ready to be adopted soon, I am going to be 4 years soon, my birthday is 12/29. Do you want to ring in the new year with me? I know that's a long way off but we can find lots to do and I have a lot of love to give.
