My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Salgu was rescued from a kill shelter in South Korea. No one knows how she lived before being taken into that shelter. But a kill shelter is also not a safe place. No one came to claim her as their own pet. It is hard to imagine, but no one wanted to adopt her. Soon after being taken into the kill shelter, she was slated for euthanasia and we saved her.

Salgu is a mellow dog. She is very shy in front of new people, but she doesn't want to give up the treats that they'd want to give. She allows strangers to pet her. She is very submissive towards both adults and children. She will love belly rubs. With other dogs, she can peacefully share food with them. When a new bigger dog approached her straight, she was a bit uncertain, but she will play well with acquainted dogs. When a cranky dog growled at her, she tried to avoid. We introduced a cat to her. It seems that she is a bit afraid of cats. She tried to eat the cat's food and was gentle to the cat. Probably, she will get along well with cats in a home. She has a moderate energy level. She has high appetite. She can catch treats in the air. She has no resource guarding behavior. On walks, she is a bit timid, but is quite a good leash walker.

**Salgu is spayed. All vaccinations are updated. She has no health conditions. She weighs 11kg/24lbs.

**Salgu is now in a foster home in Vancouver. The adoption fee for Salgu is $750 CAD including the airfare to Vancouver from Korea.
