My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾ADOPTIVE FAMILY NEEDED🐾

Name: Zalabeya (it is a name of a very sweet, highly desirable pastry in Egypt)
Age: approx. 10 months old
Gender: Female (spayed)
Breed: Egyptian Baladi Dog
Health status: fully vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, treated for parasites and healthy
Size: small/medium
Dogs: yes
Cats: unknown
Energy: medium
Children: yes

Zalabeya was thrown out of a car in the middle of a very busy highway as a several week old puppy. Someone noticed that and turned around to pick her up. She was absolutely terrified. When they pulled in close to her, her loud screams could be heard inside of the car, despite the loud noises of other cars zooming right by. It truly is a miracle that she survived.
She was taken into a pet store, as that was the only place that agreed to temporarily help and keep her safe till other accommodations could be made. Tragically, majority of people do not want to help a homeless baladi puppy, as they consider them pests and an nuisance.
Several weeks later, an amazing rescuer arranged for a spot in a shelter, where she has been to this day.

Zalabeya has an amazing personality. Like a lot of females, she knows what she wants and she is not afraid to show it. She is funny, energetic, outgoing and loves, loves loves life. She has a beautiful, friendly, and happy looking face, and her eyes sparkle with joy. Sometimes you can even see when she plans her next mischief.
She is easy to fall in love and sure to keep any family on their toes with her silly antics and clownish personality.

We are looking for a family living in the suburbs, with a fenced off yard, one that likes walks and adventures during the day, and cuddling on the couch in the evening.

Zalabeya will arrive having been spayed, vaccinated ( Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Corona Viral Enteritis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Leptospirosis, Rabies), treated for worms and ticks, microchipped
They have basic CBC blood panel drawn in Egypt to ensure there are no ‘hidden’ viruses and they are healthy
She has also been tested for tick- borne diseases ie. Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis as well as for internal parasites, all with negative results.

The adoption fee is $995 and includes the flight and the travel crate she will fly in.
