Buddy is a 2 yrs old Jindo mix boy that arrived Toronto on Aug 30th. He was found when he was a 6 to 7 months puppy and sent to the Cheon ahn city pound in Korea. (May in 2020) Luckily he was not euthanized but locked up in the tiny cage over a year. It is hard to believe that he was in the cage that long and had no chance to interact with other people or dogs. As soon as he came to the foster home, he kissed the foster mom when she opened up the crate then he played with the kids and a small senior maltese mix. Then he sat on the sofa like he was a part of the family. He is very positive and wags his tail all the time! His personality is perfect for a family dog even for a family with small children. He will be a great companion.

He has a good appetite with kibble, not a picky eater at all as long as you meet his exercise level. He is perfectly house trained but crate training and leash training will be needed. (He gets over excited when he goes out for the first 5~10 mins) He is friendly and curious to everyone male, female, kids, and dogs, even to strangers he met on the street. Since he never had a family before, he may show separation anxiety. A family who can train him with this issue will be perfect.

His teeth are thinner than normal as he tried to open the cage with his teeth when he was in the shelter. He had a hernia and that was treated before he took the flight. Heartworm negative, Giardia negative. He is microchipped and vaccinated up to date.

He loves to go outside and wants to go out when the door opens. We may ask the adopting family to install a baby gate around the main entrance.
