Owsley is in need of rescue. He is a 5 YO black DSH. He has been with his current home since he was a kitten. He lives with (and has become bonded) with the resident older girl cat in the home. His current home situation is not a happy situation for him. There is a 2 ½ YO toddler in his home who has scared him and makes way too much noise for him and it makes him nervous and anxious. Sadly, the family is expecting a new baby (and waited too long to ask for some assistance) and do not have the energy to work on modifying some of the behaviors in the household to make Owsley more comfortable with the toddler and the noises.
FROM HIS CURRENT HUMAN MOM: “Owsley would do best in a kid-free home with a calm vibe. He is scared of loud noises. He loves to cuddle in bed and enjoys napping in your lap or snuggled next to you. After dinner he is especially playful and loves chasing balls, toy mice, running around and climbing his cat tree. He takes a while to warm up to strangers but is very attached and affectionate with his pet parents. He prefers wet cat food (Blue Wilderness) and Feline Pine litter.”
I have requested that his human parents make sure his is UTD on his shots, which they assured me they would do.
The human mom is due to give birth in early November, so they would like to have Owsley settled in a new situation before she goes on maternity leave in October.
If anyone has any room in their rescue for Owsley, please call/text/email me and let me know. I would like to find this baby a better home situation where he feels comfortable and not fearful.
I will give a donation to the rescue who can take him in and help find him a more suitable home and family situation.
Please contact Cheryl at 443-326-9651 if you can help.
