My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✳ Meet Gracie and Tessa! ✳ They were first adopted from OCARC in December 2013. In 2021, we received a notification that they were at the West LA Shelter. After 8 years, the original adopter had given them up without contacting us first. We ALWAYS take our cats back. It's unlikely they would have made it out of the shelter alive.

We were grateful that after only a few months back in our care, Gracie and Tessa were adopted together into a loving home. Unfortunately, after 2 years, their owner must now relocate internationally for work and cannot bring Gracie and Tessa along. Gracie and Tessa, who are now 12, are both sweet, friendly, and playful. It is challenging to find a home for not one, but two, senior kitties, but we are hopeful we will find the perfect, special person. Gracie and Tessa have been through so much and deserve the very best! Is that you??

Email us or fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this bonded pair. For an approved adopter, OCARC will cover the cost of future routine medical care for both girls.

You can get pre-approved for your adoption! Just visit our website and submit your application online: http://www.oc-arc.com/adoptions/how-to-adopt/

When you choose to adopt one of OCARC's animals, the adoption donation is $175. Each of our cats and kittens has been:

- Spayed or neutered
- Tested for FeLV
- Tested for FIV
- De-flead (topical Revolution or Advantage)
- De-wormed (tape and round worms)
- Given their first FVRCP vaccination.

We keep all our kitties current on their FVRCP vaccines so depending on the age of the kitty when you adopt him or her and how long we've had the kitty, the vaccine series may be complete. If not, you as the adopter will be responsible for any further vaccinations in the series.

- Rabies Vaccination when age appropriate

These services would usually cost more than $500. Of course, an adoption donation of more than $175 is always welcome, since we often provide additional medical care such as x-rays, blood panels, treatment for ears, eyes, upper respiratory infections and viruses.
