My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST IN WEST PARIS, MAINE
We are looking to re-home or Aussie Ryder DOB 6/30/2018. Unfortunately there are just a number of reasons for this. The number reason though is that we have had to move so many times in the past year alone and I'm finding it very difficult to find places that allow pets.

Ryder is full of energy and craves attention. Ryder was never socialized as a puppy and has had some anxiety issues and because of this Ryders 'safe place' is in his kennel. He has had to wear a muzzle while being introduced to new people that he is unsure of. His barking tends to scare people. It does Take him a while to get warmed up to people but once he does he is very lovable, playful and knows all commands and more.

I do feel that he would be best on a farm where he can run or with somebody that is alone and can give him one on one attention. He does do well with cats. He hasn't been around other dogs before but I am sure if he got to know them he would be ok. He does tend to 'heard' the cats as that's what he is meant to do! I am hoping that someone can train him to be calmer, sociable and OK with people. I am extremely worried about how a transition would go because of how he is and am looking for the perfect home. Once he gets to know people he really is the best dog! He is spoiled by treats and his favorite thing is being called 'Ryder puppy!'
