Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This fuzz ball is Spot and he came to our center as a senior dog who sadly lost their elderly guardian. When his person passed away, Spot went through a lot. He was alone for a period of time with no one to care for him, then he was taken in by a shelter, where there were a lot of other dogs stressing him out, to now coming to our center, and having to learn a whole new space, and all new people.
It's a lot for a 12-year-old dog to go through, especially after losing the only home they had ever known!
So, we are on the lookout for a very special guardian to show this chocolate pomeranian the sweet life, and mend his very broken heart.
Spot does get scared by quick and unexpected movements, so his future guardian should be willing to take things slow for him. Because of this, he likely would not be suitable for a home with small children.
He is very loving, quiet, and so far has been good about going potty outside, but its always a good idea to be prepared for some housebreaking anyway.
Spot tolerates other dogs similar in size and energy but he doesn't become best friends with them. He does not like to be bothered - he'd rather keep to himself. Spot may do okay around a cat but again, would like to be left alone from other animals.
If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion, and would like to meet Spot to see if he could be a fit for your home, please submit an application for him.
