My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I found Jessie in south Houston on one of the 105-degree days. She was severely malnourished and dehydrated. She had no chip or collar and deserved much better than the streets she was roaming with 18-wheelers blasting past. I immediately took her home for a bath and got her vaccinated, heartworm checked (negative!) and on Trifexis that week. Over the next few weeks, we got her weight up and got her spayed.

Since then, she has been hanging out and playing with my two large male dogs! Jessie is super calm and quiet during the day (but gives a sweet little awooo when she sees us get the food out at dinner time). She is friendly and playful with all dogs and people that we meet at the park and on our daily walks.

Jessie has never had an accident inside, very quickly learned that shoes are not for chewing (and has not chewed anything up, even when left unattended in our apartment)!

She knows sit, stay, paw, lay down, good girl, and “no”.

She’s an awesome dog and major sweetheart.
