My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable fellow is CocoPuff. He is a blond Yorkie (probably Yorkie Mix) who is 12 years old and weighs 8.8 pounds. He is bonded with Ayla. Their adoption fee is $150. CocoPuff is being fostered in Orlando, FL.
Dogs being fostered in Florida need to be adopted within the state of Florida.

UPDATED BIO 08/24/2021: Sweet CocoPuff and his sister Ayla found themselves in the shelter when their mom had a very bad stroke. Their mom's daughter was unable to keep them and she brought them to the shelter in hopes the shelter would find them a home where they could stay together for the rest of their years. CocoPuff's sister is a little Doxie and in order to keep them together the shelter asked if we would take them both. We would never consider splitting up two dogs so attached to each other, and that is how a little Doxie became a Yorkie Rescue dog. CocoPuff needed his sister with him and so she is.

Here's what CocoPuff had to say after being in his foster home for almost two weeks..

Hi all, CocoPuff here. My sister Ayla and I are doing great. We saw the dogtor today to see if we have any more intestinal parasites. Guess what? They're all gone! Yay for us. We are now ready for our furever home.

Here's what Ayla and I would like to have in our new home: We prefer our new mom/dad to be retired or work from home. Since we're seniors, we don't like to be left alone for long periods of time. We love to have lots of lap time and we can't do that if you're not home with us. A fenced yard would be nice, but not a deal breaker if you don't have one.

I've healed from my neuter. I'm current on necessary vaccinations and I'm microchipped. I didn't need a dental cleaning because I don't have any teeth! Don't worry, I can still eat kibble and I really look forward to dinner time.

The dogtor found a lump in my neck and took an x-ray to see if it was pressing on my trachea. Fortunately, it wasn't, so the dogtor said to leave it alone and just keep an eye on it. The vet said he detected a heart murmur but at this time it is not causing me any concerns. He said that I didnt need any medications and that there is nothing that was needed to do about the murmur. He also suggested it is possible that I have always had the heart murmur and it had not been an issue for me.

Foster mom says that I am about the sweetest, friendliest, most loving dog ever. All I want to do is have people pet me and love on me and let me be on their lap. At the vet's office I greeted everyone coming and going. She said my tail never stopped for a minute. Foster mom said all you have to do is sit down and I am right there in your lap making myself at home.

My foster mom is helping me and Ayla learn how to use a potty pad. I'd say we're doing pretty good. Ayla and I are very bonded and we need to go into our forever home together.

So, now we're just waiting to go to our new home with my sister Ayla. Will it be yours?
