COURTESY POST - COURTESY POST-COURTESY POST Barkley is a beautiful male, black tri Australian Shepherd. He is approximately 6 years old. He is a high energy boy who loves to play fetch with tennis balls and will play with other dogs. He is a true Velcro Aussie. He loves his people, is sweet and affectionate. He is a good snuggle buddy at the end of the day. Barkley, is however, a dog that will need a strong leader to show him who is boss. He is a wonderful dog, but given the chance, he will run your household. He will also protect if he feels that his leader is not able to protect themselves. He has a masters degree in house manners! He is crate trained and house trained. He is also good with common commands, like sit, down, paw, come and stay. He also understands 'leave it' and will stop doing something he shouldn't be when that command is used. Barkley loves walks, hikes and walks well on a leash. Barkely is not a fan of small children, so his household must only have children over age 12 who are respectful of his space. He does great in the fenced yard and has done well with other dogs in his foster home. Barkley is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Barkley is being fostered in the Addison, IL area.
