My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oswald A230138

Oswald is a 5 year old male who came into the shelter on July 19 as a stray.

Oswald is so so skinny. In his kennel, he looks like he’s close to giving up on the world too. Humans haven’t been kind too him, but kindness is all he will know going forward. Oswald was hesitant to be leashed and leave the little bit of safeness he found at the shelter. Good for us, he’s small and so is his kennel so he could only head bob so many ways before the leash got on.

The feeling Oswald gave off his first few times out was suspicion. He didn’t want to engage and would flinch at the slightest touch, even accidental brushing by. The way to Oswald was through his stomach. He’s all bones but it wasn’t an instant friendship. It took lots of treats and a few days to get Oswald to the point of coming to us and allowing pets. He obviously still has a ways to go to get healthy and happy. We would love to see that journey continue in a home.
