Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Malcolm
Breed: GSD x Rottweiler x ?
Age/Sex: ~Dec 2017 MN
Known health issues: None at this time, he's achieved his weight loss goals!
Good with: Some dogs. NO DOG PARKS. No Kids. No cats. Adult only home.
Malcolm is a loving soul, who is learning some new boundaries. He has a history of resource guarding and as such has made some poor choices in the past. His new home must be committed to continuing his training and management so that he makes the best choices in the future.
Malcolm has achieved his weight loss goals, and is looking for a home to help him be the best fit version of himself he can be! He's already become a lot more active, and enjoying his newfound energy. He's starting to show some toy drive, and I'm sure this could be easily worked upon further in his new home as he gains new skills.
He does have a lack of confidence, and is a bit of a weenie when faced with new situations, or something he doesn't like. But he's continuing to improve his confidence with proper direction, and very much wants to please his handler. Overall he's not a noisy dog, but he does get chatty when he's excited, or wants something. He's doing excellent with his crate training, and is generally good in the car but sometimes whines in anticipation. He lacks confidence with other dogs, and is easily intimidated by them. He can be a little reactive, but generally is quick to recover with guidance. He certainly would be perfectly happy as an only dog.
Malcolm is looking for a calm, but confident owner willing to work with his issues, and build him up to be the best version of himself he could be. Though not likely the next competition dog, he certainly has the potential to explore sports as he gains new life skills, and a fit physical body. If he sounds like the perfect companion for you, please send an email to get the process started :-)
