My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Intake Date: 8 June 2021 ----- Age at Intake: 4-5 yrs ----- Breed: chihuahua ----- Size: 8 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats, children. ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard. Possible apartment with mandatory leash and dog park for safe unleashed exercise ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Super shy, under-socialized. Making great progress at rescue! ----- Additional Notes: Inca is a pretty little chihuahua. In typical Chihuahua fashion, Inca is more of a one family dog, taking time to warm up to strangers. When she came to rescue she was nearly untouchable. Now she begs for attention but we still expect regression in a new home. She came in with her buddy, supposed son maybe, but they would do best separated as they do occasionally squabble however they are also adoptable together as their tiffs are minor disagreements. She takes time to warm up to new dogs and an adopter needs to be prepared to continue her training and socializing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required.
