My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Liam- Neutered male. Approximate DOB 11/24/2019. Liam is current on his vaccines and has tested negative for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). He is a short haired black and white. Liam came to us on 5/24/2021 after being hit by a car in a local community. He was out roaming as an unneutered male at the time. LAS took him to Avon Lake Animal Clinic where on 5/25/2021 he underwent surgery for his fractured humerus which was "pinned" for healing with the hope of avoiding amputation of his left front leg. He remained in clinic until 6/21/2021. At that time Liam went to a foster home for the remainder of his healing. His follow up in July indicated that he had healed well and that there was no further need to remove the pin that had facilitated his leg in healing.
Liam has adjusted during this time to living in a home, being with other cats and learning how to be good with them. He is playful, enjoys a nap on his owner's lap, LOVES his catnip carrots and banana. and loves sitting on a cat tree by the window to watch the birds and the rest of the world go by. We feel strongly that Liam would do best if he had another young cat ( or perhaps a dog) as a playmate. He will need to be monitored to be sure he adjusts to the home. He would love to play with some kids (no small children) as long as they aren't too rough with him and re-injure his leg. He is a great boy who plays hard and then crashes for a nap. Great Family Pet!
