Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maestro! Such a handsome guy!
Maestro came to us after trying to survive who knows how long on the streets. He knew he was in trouble and needed help so kept visiting one of our volunteers who fed him and ended up bringing him in for a foster when it became clear that this guy did not belong outside. Life on the street was not kind to him. He was covered in burrs and ticks and was just filthy. His teeth were a mess. Yet he just wanted love! (And food!!) He's SUPER sweet and a headbutting professional. He just wants someone to love him and doesn't have a mean bone in his body! He'll flop around on the floor when you start petting him. He'll headbutt your hand or leg for more petting if you stop. He stares out the window to greet you when you come home. He's discovering the joy of catnip toys. Happy to be safe inside where he can just relax and not have to worry about anything. He is just THE best kitty with an awesome personality!
Maestro has been aged around 10 years old. He has also tested positive for both FIV and FeLV. The FIV isn't a big deal. It's only spread between cats through serious, deep bite wounds. The FeLV is a bit trickier as that is spread through nasal and mouth secretions. So he's looking for a home as the only kitty or with another kitty that has FeLV.
Maestro has had a full medical workup. Bloodwork looks great. He had a dental done and had his bad teeth pulled. He's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He has also been cleaned up and is no longer carrying burrs and ticks!
Because of the FeLV, Maestro may not live as long as other cats. But that just makes him more deserving of someone to love and cherish and spoil him! And whoever opens their heart and home to this guy is going to get the bestest friend they could ever have!!!
