Do you like snuggling up to a warm cup of Cocoa? What about snuggling up to a cute dog named Cocoa? That's me! I have travelled all the way from Manitoba to Toronto to find my furever home with you! I was a homeless puppy rescued from a community that was affected by wildfires. I am so happy to be here that I shower my humans with lots of love and affection especially when I’m in a playful mood.
I love squeaky toys and ropes to chew and tug on. My favourite place to hang out is in the backyard where I like to lounge in the grass. I love making friends with humans, especially when I get lots of cuddles and praise from them. Sometimes I get so excited when I see someone that I have been missing that I jump on them and give them kisses and love nips. I'm still working on controlling my emotions. Tiny humans still scare me a little so a home without young kids would be best.
I know my name, and commands like “Sit”, “Down”, “No” and “Paw”. I’m also working on some tricks like “Roll Over” and “Drop it”.
I get nervous when I see a dog or hear it barking. I haven’t made any dog friends yet but I know that one day I will. Before I do, I will need to slowly build my confidence and do more training.
I enjoy going on walks, but I need some more help walking on a leash. Everything is still so new to me that I am pretty cautious and like to sniff everything along the way. I am fully potty trained, but because I am cautious of the outside world I usually don’t go potty on walks and hold it in until I get to my front or back yard. I would LOVE to have a backyard of my own where I can feel safe. I would like a patient family that will help me get better accustomed to the outside world by taking me on regular walks. I love treats so positive reinforcement has been helping me make improvement so far!
I am looking for a family who has time to snuggle and play with me to use up all my energy, a nice yard that I can call my own and lots of love to give! I promise to repay your patience by being your best furriend and giving you unconditional love and kisses.
