Hi my name is Coffee. They say I am a sweet little puppy who’ll grow into a handsome dog one day. I survived a wildfire and a long arduous journey from Manitoba to Toronto, just to be able to find you as my forever family. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know my humans, I am a kick of caffeine.
I am comfortable around other dogs and I like meeting new people on my walks as well. I love playing in the grass and am trained to do my business outside, but because I am a little puppy, please take me out more often. Currently I live in an apartment, and my foster pawrents take me out 4 times a day!
I like playing fetch and tug-of-war, but you should be a little careful when playing with me because I still have my sharp puppy teeth. I try to be gentle, but I'm still a puppy! My foster parents tell me that I keep chewing everything – which I don’t understand – weren’t they doing the same when they were human puppies? That's a thing, right? Human puppies? :D I am attached to my humans and I follow them closely around the house. I don’t like being left alone in the house and can get anxious when separated from my loved ones. My adoptive pawrents will need to work on my separation anxiety training. I am also comfortable in my crate – sometimes that’s where I hide from that scary vacuum cleaner – why doesn’t he stay in his crate?
I am also a foodie! I love eating. With the right food motivation, I am a quick learner and can learn all sorts of tricks. I am doing well on leash walking as well, though I am still learning to walk in a straight line. I understand ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ and can shake paws with humans.
I don't have a habit to sleep on the sofa or to climb up on beds. I'm happy with 2 options I have; a comfy dog bed, or a nice dog pillow in my crate. I can’t wait to meet my adoptive pawrents, as I’m sure I can provide them with a ton of love, happiness and of course, a boost of energy!
