Barbara is a female black with white Chihuahua or chihuahua mix. She is 1 year old and she weighs 9.2 pounds (though she needs to gain another pound or two). Barbara is recently spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. Barbara is ready for adoption.
Barbara is a silly, goofy girl. She is used to being an afterthought in her previous home rather than a family member, so Barbara will need time to find confidence and security with her adoptive family. She is playful and loves to play chase with her sister, Jenna, and other dogs who want to join their games. Barbara’s funny antics include crawling on the ground and stretching out in her belly with her legs stretched out in front and back. We think Barbara would warm up to a playful canine friend or older children who want to play but can read and respond to her body language. Barbara does not accept the leash yet and needs work. Barbara has the crate down pat.
