Meet our playful Panda!

He's approximately 20 lbs., neutered, and we believe he is a terrier/collie mix. His story is similar to many dogs our rescue has helped in the past year - he was adopted during the pandemic but then the owner was unable to care for him when school re-opened. Panda ended up in a shelter where he was very scared and stressed, making it very difficult for him to socialize and meet any potential adopters.

Now that he is in a foster home, Panda is thriving and his true nature is shining through. He's very sweet, cuddly, and a fast learner. He has a curious and explorative energy, so he will do best with a family that likes to play and explore too. He also loves other dogs, so joining a family that already has a friendly dog could be great for him, although he would be amazing as an only dog too. Just make sure you have enough belly rubs to go around -- this guy loves attention. We do feel he would do best in a home with children 12 years and up.

Some patience might be required at first with Panda as he adjusts to his new home and works through some attachment issues. He will follow you around the house and keep an eye on you as much as he can, but he will calm and settle once there has been some routine and trust established. Of course, he loves getting treats, which is useful for training. He loves to learn new things and responds well to positive reinforcement training methods.

One thing is for sure, once he bonds with you, he will be your best pal forever.
