My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chrissy (~DOB 9/2020, female, brown tabby, DSH) Chrissy was a kitten found in Waukegan behind a nursing home with her siblings. They were being fed a diet that mostly consisted of French fries. They were caught at about 3 months old and took a bit of time to warm up to humans while they also started getting healthier. Chrissy and her brother John were won over with a lot of chicken baby food.
Chrissy took a bit of time to socialize to humans, and even today is a bit rougher when she plays with humans. She is a side snuggler, coming up to her foster mom on the couch and laying by her side. She loves being petted around her head and back, but too much petting near her tail or belly will likely bring out her fiercer side. She doesn’t enjoy being picked up or held, but can be managed long enough to get into a carrier when needed. She loves chasing bugs and balls in tracks. Her favorite things include crinkle tunnels and cardboard cat houses, where she will “attack” anyone who may be unsuspecting. She also enjoys relaxing on the back of a couch, especially near a window. She is a bit more of a loner cat but gets along fine with most cats and would transition better in a home that already has another cat or two. Chrissy isn’t as food motivated as her brother John, however, chicken baby food will always help draw her out and likely be a very useful aid in her transition to her new home.
