Here's what the humans have to say about me:
So, my name is Hutch, and I am a really great bunny! Do you know what I really like about my foster home? They say sing to me! My favorite tunes are Christmas music and top 40 hits from the 1970s. I make a great audience!
My foster mom says that I am quite timid. It takes a long time before I feel safe with new people and in a new environment. Once I feel safe, I am very calm and easy to pick up. I even don’t mind being held for a while and petted gently. I’m not a big fan of having my nose pets but am getting used to gentle nose rubs.
One thing I am not shy about is TOYS!! I love toys and exploring. A few of my favorites are wicker balls and baskets, apple and pear sticks and wooden chew toys, cardboard boxes with windows in them, objects I can jump on, and plastic balls or rattles to toss and nudge. I love the jingly sound they make when I throw them
One thing I like to do is nip gently at you to get your attention or to ask you to move. This is “bunny speak” and I don’t mean to hurt you; just let you know I’m there or maybe that you are in my favorite spot. Pretty smart, we bunnies are!
My litter box habits are great! I always tinkle in the box and leave a majority of my poos in the box. It’s hard for a bunny not to kick a poo or two out of the litter box once in a while.
I really like my pellets and can be enticed by fresh, tasty hay or orchard grass. I’m not much into greens, but maybe we can try some new things and see what I like most. Maybe we could try arugula, carrot tops and, dill. I hear those are delicious! I DO know raisins and dried bananas are delicious, I LOVE those as a treat!
