My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chloe! She has had a life much different than most dogs, spending her first year in an outdoor kennel at a compound in rural Kentucky with at one point more than 30 other dogs. Let’s just say, it wasn’t a normal American pet dog life. Since spring, Chloe has been learning the ways of being a pet in her foster home with two other dogs and she is really getting this comfy, cozy, indoors, lovey, stability-is-really-a-thing figured out well! She is also finishing up her heartworm treatment and is nearly recovered from the very dangerous medications she had to endure (please make sure your pets are up to date on their heartworm preventative!) Chloe is a gentle and calm dog, though she does still have some youthful energy in her since she’s so young. She bounces with joy when you return from a long day at work and who doesn’t want that! But overall, Chloe really appreciates and gravitates towards equally calm and loving energy. If you are a yeller or if your household is loud and boisterous, Chloe might not adapt very well. She needs a relaxed and calm energy for her bonded humans, one that can correct her with gentle yet firm instruction, not loud yells and high energy commands. Chloe wants to be loved on and will lean into your snuggles. Sitting on the floor with her on your lap is her most favorite place to be. Sweet Chloe is a fantastic student, quickly learning tricks and has sit and shake covered very well. We are starting work on down now. She is housebroken and enjoys being outside as much as inside, though after she bonds with you, expect her to want to be near you most times. Almost always within her sight/smell! She wants to know where her favorite people are. Her best skill is being right there, in your way when you turn around! LOL If you believe you have the right home for this very special girl, please fill out an application and her foster mama will give you call!April 16, 2024, 8:26 pm
