My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wonderful Winter! This gorgeous gal is looking for her forever family, and wants her new people to know these 9 things about her:

1. I am currently being fostered in Durham, NC.

2. I am a Cane Corso and I am about 3 years old.

3. I’m really social for a Corso and although I can be shy at first, I warm up to new people quickly.

4. I think I would do well in a home with kids over 8, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs.

5. I can be a bit selective when it comes to other animals, so I would prefer to be the only pet in my new home if possible.

6. The words that best describe me are friendly, affectionate, and happy.

7. My favorite things to do are hanging with people, playing with toys, and snoozing. The toys I like best are hard bones and rope toys.

8. I am perfectly housebroken and crate-trained, and I know how to use a dog door. I have been working on my leash skills at my foster home and I’m also learning basic obedience!

9. I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.

Ready to give Winter the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
