Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asta was brought in as a stray by an Angel that found him wandering the Waianae Boat Harbor. Asta has had his wellness and neutering done 8/12/21 and he is ready to go to his forever home now. He is also available for fostering. He is already loyal and protective in the good ways. Asta will need some regular exercise so hiking, swimming, surfing & running all sound like a great life for him.
Border collies are high-maintenance canines. Not in the grooming department -- they don't care about appearances. They're high maintenance because they possess a work ethic like no other dog. If your border collie doesn't have a meaningful outlet for all that energy, not-so-hilarious hijinks ensue. They are notorious for being high energy dogs, so getting the right amount of exercise is crucial. For most healthy, adult Border Collies, they will need at least 90 minutes of exercise per day. With good training they can be a wonderful addition to your family. Keep in mind that they are working dogs at heart and, without a high level of exercise and mental stimulation, Border Collies can grow bored and mischievous.

Please use this link to request an ADOPTION application:https://HSPCA.17hats.com/p#/lcf/hfhxtvdzfwsxdpfdhkwsrphfspzhptpr
Please request an application and submit it, once approved you will be invited to make an appointment for a meet & greet with the animal of your choosing. you may also put in a general dog or cat application to meet multiple of each pet. If sparks fly and a great match happens at your meet & greet we will then schedule a home visit to come see you. You will be asked to sign a contract before the start of your trial. At this visit we will want to see your home to ensure our fur kid is going to be taken well care of. We will bring your new pet too so If the visit goes well we will begin the 1 week trial immediately..
During the trial we ask you stay in close contact and send photos and videos daily to keep us up to date. At the end of the trial if everyone is happy, including your new pet we will sign off on the contract and make the adoption official
