My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno is full grown big boy at his 60-70 lb weight range. He exudes a wonderful happy energy, listens somewhat to basic commands, is calm and peaceful at times but again, lots of great happy energy! Would be a great hiking and running partner. Please know that If you are on a military post he will not meet the breed restrictions. He is the star of our dog walking program and has spent play dates at home with our volunteer and his kids. Bruno did super with his kids and family, chilling during the backyard fun times with his family. He is also very handsome!

American Staffordshire Terriers vs. Pit Bulls:

People often ask what the difference is between the American Staffordshire terrier and a pit bull. First of all, there is no breed called a pit bull. There is, however, a breed called the American pit bull terrier. It is not recognized by the American Kennel Club, but it is recognized by the Continental Kennel Club and the United Kennel Club. Generally speaking, the American Staffordshire terrier is nearly the same breed as the American pit bull terrier. Today, the main difference is in appearance. The American Staffordshire terrier is bred in part for AKC conformation and conforms to a stricter standard, particularly in size range. Conversely, the American pit bull terrier is more often bred as a companion dog and has greater variances in size (a range of 30 to 90 pounds) and other physical traits.

We must add that Bruno is not completely trained and will need a family that can spend time working with him on his social etiquettes like leash/walking and indoor potty training. We do have a dog walking program and Bruno is at the top of his class in leash walking!
