My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This tiny cutie is Chihuahua boy Marvel! He was rescued in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and taken to the SPCA shelter there. Unfortunately Marvel was diagnosed with patellar luxation shortly after, which means his kneecaps were out of place on both his hind legs. This is a common ocurrence in Chihuahuas.
Marvel had surgery on both his little knees, first one, then the other and now he is all healed and finally ready to find a new home.
Marvel is a very low energy, cuddle lap dog. He is timid with new people though. You need to sit down with him, and ignore him for a bit to let him sniff you out, and offer him some treats and wait until he comes to you. Once he decides you are his friend, he will climb on your lap and never wants to get off!
We are looking for a calm home for him with someone who can take it slow to introduce him to his new surroundings, and who will give him lots of love and cuddles. The little guy deserves it!
Marvel gets along well with other dogs, but he is not very interested in them, nor playful. He is ok with cats too.
Marvel is neutered and fully vaccinated and all he needs now is a loving family!
If we find one for him, he can fly to Vancouver on October 2nd where he needs pick up at YVR.
