Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amelia is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Amelia and her brother were rescued from a fast kill, small town, dog pound. They are adorable Great Pyrenees mixes between 4 and 5 months old and we think they are going to be large dogs, maybe 60+ pounds when grown. Amelia is a bit shyer than her brother but still a very sweet, happy, outgoing, and playful puppy. She loves toys, treats, and wrestling with her brother. She has not seen a cat but should be fine with them if properly trained. Amelia is still a puppy that must be trained, and further socialization is very important. We bring her inside during the heat of the day and she is fine in a crate with a chew toy to keep her occupied. Amelia must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and he would like to have a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Amelia is healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been started on monthly heartworm and flea preventative. She will receive her 3rd puppy vaccination on August 27th, but she may be adopted now and transported if the adopter agrees to get her third shot. Amelia has a $550.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT, Brattleboro VT, Nashua NH, or Hampton NH. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
