My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over our Draven's good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. Draven has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, accented with some pretty spectacular black markings. His big brown eyes seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.

Three years old, Draven took a wrong turn somewhere and wound up in a North Carolina Shelter. He impressed everyone with his good looks and sunny disposition, and through a twist of fate, he wound up in with us in Connecticut.

We love our Northern Breeds, and we're thrilled to welcome Draven. He is a typical Husky: part jokester and part athlete. Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Draven needs a savvy handler to maintain his equlibrium. If he becomes bored, or frustrated, Draven can make some mischief. Exercise and discipline, as well as formal obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact.

Draven is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Draven as an Alpha dog, whose bold personality would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life.

Draven has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged. He is coming along nicely on his Canine Good Citizenship training, and has the potential to reach certification.

Draven has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as Draven transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered, and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Draven, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738.
