Loves a good game of tug with a rope toy
Very chill and laid back
Neutered
Heartworm negative
Up to date on all shots
Microchipped
Bronx was surrendered to the rescue on June 26th and has decompressed in his foster home and is now ready to choose his forever home.
Bronx is a gorgeous, super sweet, very chill boy that loves your attention. He loves playing and his favorite play activity is playing tug of war with a rope toy.
He is currently being treated for severe ear infections which are believe to be a result of being fed a poor quality food. Once his medication clears it up and he’s on a high-quality food (the vet recommends duck and sweet potato which he started June 30th) and the vet believes this will eliminate future infections.
The owner states he does have significant separation anxiety so we want a home that is laid back with older or no children and someone who works from home or is retired so he won’t be left alone for long periods of time. We know and are in agreement that Bronx could benefit from a calming aid such as CBD or Hemp oil or a vet prescribed anxiety medication if the new family feels is needed. For the present, his foster mom works from home and he’s very chill laying in the floor beside her desk so they haven’t experienced the anxiety. He was never around cats until his foster home but simply shows curiosity right now but a home with cats may not be suitable for him. His foster did experience his jealousy of the other dogs being shown attention recently but we believe it’s because he’s only been in their home for two days now and is ‘guarding’ what he’s afraid will be taken from him. However, we do recommend someone experienced or willing to consult or work with a trainer if needed to correct this behavior.
