HISTORY:
Theodore was born outside and lived as an outdoor cat until he became injured.
ABOUT:
We received a message about a neighborhood cat who was born during the pandemic and grew up as an outside cat. Theodore is a friendly, little guy because the neighborhood looked out for him. The kids would play outside with him, and he would even go on some walks with a small dog. One day, Theodore found his way to one of the porches with some very big wounds on his body. He was in obvious pain so everyone knew the best thing for him was to get medical attention and find an indoor home since he was so friendly. We took Theodore in even though we didn’t have any space at the time. His story really resonated with us. We knew he was probably attacked by another cat since he was such a trusting guy. We figured he would be FIV+ which he is. Even though his injuries were deep and starting to get infected, he was the sweetest boy and allowed us to treat him while we scheduled a veterinarian visit. You could see him just relax and settle in. There was never any doubt that this boy wanted to be an indoor cat.

Once his wounds healed and his vetting was completed, we transferred him to our cat center to see if he could acclimate with the other kitties. He had a record time acclimation. He loved the other kitties and they really took to his gentle nature. One cat in particular, a senior lady named Puff, really fell for him. You can find them snuggling together on the couch and grooming each other. You can tell by the war wounds he carries that he had a tough go of it on the streets, but is the most loving and gentle cat you will ever meet. He is the first to run up to you when coming into his room. He has great litter box habits and is a great eater. He loves his wet food!

Theodore would fit into most any home. He just wants a safe and loving environment to play and lounge. He is a younger guy, so he would love to play and have interaction. We can picture him curling up with his person in bed at night.
