Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ ENTIRE PROFILE - WE CANNOT RESPOND TO INQUIRIES SENT THRU ADOPT-A-PET, PLEASE EMAIL DIRECTLY AS SPECIFIED BELOW.
Brayden is an 8-9 yo 16 lb. male gold and white parti Shih Tzu that is a SUPER sweet little guy that LOVES being attached at the hip with his human. He is the perfect couch potato for someone that needs a snuggle buddy.
Sadly, he came from a home where he was living in complete filth and likely had not been outside of the home for a couple years ☹ Upon arrival he was clueless about some basic dog manners but he has quickly learned from the others and is doing well with not jumping up on legs and getting under foot. He has learned to use potty pads although prefers to potty outside.
He clearly was allowed on the furniture and bed at his home and while I don’t mind it, I have been working with him on staying down and he has quickly adapted. But he would LOVE to sleep with his human.
He has gotten along well with the other pups and is still playful but would definitely love to be the one and only to have all of your attention. He doesn’t seem to know what walking on a leash is so he would need real training on that. Ideally, his new home will have a fenced in yard for him to come and go as he pleases.
Given his former life of always having his human available at every moment, his new ideal situation would be where someone is home all day (retired, etc.) to be with him. He would definitely not handle being home alone all day.
We ran full bloodwork which was normal and he seems to be in good health. He desperately needs a dental (several rotted teeth are kind of hanging there ugh!) which he is getting tomorrow (8/7), we will also remove the little bump on his eyelid, and he will be brought UTD on shots. Once healed up he will be ready for his new home.
