Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are interested, you MUST complete our application which can be found at pawspaws.org. We will only set up meet and greets with an approved application.
Pascal is one of the small defenseless little dogs that was dumped in the middle of many many acres of nothing but soybean and corn fields. What a horrible fate for these dear sweet babies. Animal Control was called and they called PAWS to see if we could assist with trying to catch them and take them in. We spent over three weeks and managed to catch 9 of them. (It was reported that there were 10 but we never spotted a 10th dog.) Pascal is very shy and protective at first but once he gets to know you, he just wants to love and be loved. He will require someone with lots of love and patience to win his trust. He came around very quickly with me. He is a very loving boy who wants to be loved so badly but just can't forget that humans have not been kind to him. He seemed to be the protector of the group and did a little growling and snapping when he first met us. He is still very afraid of fast movements. He will do well with other other dogs as long as they are his size or smaller and allow him to be the boss. He is about 15 lbs and we guestimate that he was born around 07/01/2018. His adoption fee is $200.

Additional adoption info
Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ASKED TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE IN CASH.
PAWS IS NOW EQUIPPED TO TAKE CREDIT CARDS.
If you are interested in adopting, please e-mail Kareel at pawsplace1@yahoo.com, and she will get back to you as soon as possible. If you live in the area, please come see us!! If not, please keep us in your thoughts. We need monetary donations badly in order to keep this wonderful operation going, so, if you are able, please send whatever you can. At the present time, PAWS Place is full of kitty grins and doggy smiles. Please help us keep it that way!!
