Rusty is 2-3 years old, neutered and utd on all vaccinations. He is an agility candidate. He is very sweet and cuddly, will retrieve. Of course, he displays herding, heeling type of behavior. Very good with people, leash trained, knows sit and lay down. House trained too.He is a definite NO for cats.

He can have problems with some male dogs...and we feel he should not be placed in a situation like a dog park, where the other dogs are very much unknown. He has a jealous bone with humans and likes attention, and he can bark loudly in excitement and play. Despite these quirks, he is also a very gentle and cuddly companion dog who will be happy to go with you everywhere.

We do not recommend him to a home with children under 8-10 years of age because of his high energy nature as a herding breed influenced dog. As a Chow/Aussie mix, he requires exercise, activity, and is people focused. He needs a JOB! We feel he would be best in an owned home vs. rental situation, with maybe 1 other pet, preferably a female. He gets along well with females.
