Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Storm is so, so very special to us. She, along with her brother (Mustard), are the only two to survive out of a litter of 11. Their mom was found as a very ill, malnourished stray in a warehouse parking lot and ended up needing an emergency c-section to save her life.
Unfortunately the puppies were estimated to be 10 days premature and were given less than a 10% chance of survival. They remained on oxygen therapy for the first 2 weeks of their lives as their lungs were not fully developed. They received numerous plasma treatments and supplements as they faced fading puppy syndrome and severe anemia. They were tube fed every 2 hours the first 2 weeks of life (they were born at 5oz and had no strength to suckle, so a bottle was not an option) and they slowly transitioned to syringe feeding.
When we say we didn't sleep the first two weeks, we aren't exaggerating. Honestly, it took a solid 6 weeks before they could go 4 hours in between feedings. They were just so tiny that they took so long to meet the typical age markers.
Losing 9 of the 11 was a traumatic experience, and we poured everything we could into saving them - no expense, treatment or recommendation was spared (our invoice for mom and babies was over $10k and that doesn't include the routine dewormer, vaccines, microchips, etc) and we are completely smitten and obsessed with Storm and Mustard.
We have a pending DNA test sent out, but momma is a 50lb Black Mouth Cur (best guess). We are excited to share what the results of the test come back as.
They truly are little miracle puppies, and will only go to the most serious and committed of homes.
They have overcome so many odds and we will ensure that their lives are nothing but love and care.
If you think that could be you, adoption applications can be found at pibbleranch.com
To see more of their story, you can find more at our TikTok and FB (Pibble Ranch).
*Storm will not be officially available for another couple of weeks as we work through their vaccine series.
UPDATE: DNA test results are in showing primarily pit bull and American Bulldog along with some Golden Retriever and Foxhound in the mix. :)
