Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Miss Leona!
This sweet 45lb. gal has quite a unique look. Many stop and ask about her. Our bright girl is a mix originally from Texas. We believe her to be a Bull terrier/Smooth Collie mix. It's a best guess. Her personality is more bull terrier than collie. One thing for sure is she is smart! Leona is about a year to a year and a half. She is spayed, properly vetted, and up to date on vaccinations. Also receiving monthly preventatives.
Leona is an amazing little puzzle piece looking for her perfect fit. Leona gets along with dogs and is currently fostered with them, but for her to thrive, it would best to be an only pet. She doesn't react to passing other dogs in a multitude of situations- The street, store, class..no problem. Leona has a problem with sharing treasured toys, bones or her owners (just cause she loves them so much!) She is a take charge kind of gal and will rule her roost. She can be quite assertive. So being an only pet is best in her future home. She is fully house and crate trained. She is working on her basics and doing well. Leona's new family will need to have patience with her while out walking. She can be fearful of loud trucks and street noises due to being a stray as a puppy growing up on the streets of Texas. Her biggest fear being back up beepers on garbage trucks and construction equipment. Leona is young, happy girl and being young dog she does have energy bursts and can jump. We recommend children ages 10 and up. No kitties for this girl-she thinks they are a fun thing to play with . She has an amazing nose! Got a snuffle mat? Leona is your girl. Puzzle games she conquers quite quickly, if you've willing to treat, she is willing to learn. She will also stop mid game and roll over for goofy belly rubs...she's the typical bull terrier. She also likes to stand on things...they are quite notorious for that too-very adventurous! Leona can go to the dog park, but a quieter 1 on 1 area with her people works best for her. Leona will take her time opening up to you, but once she does, she loves so deeply. Are you the right fit for our amazing puzzle piece? She's waiting to meet you!!
