My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Maple! Sometimes my foster mom and dad call me Maple Syrup because I’m just so sweet! My favorite past times are: Sleeping with a stuffed moose, watching water drip from the kitchen faucet, licking my foster dad’s bread and butter, and what my foster parents call “aggressive snuggle sessions”. Don’t worry, those just entail me rubbing up against you, and rolling around on your chest while purring. I live with my foster parents, three adult cats, and my sister, Briar Rose. Like my sister, I LOVE to play. My favorite toys are ALL of them, but my favorite-favorite is my champagne toy (even though I'm way too young for alcoholic beverages)! I'm also partial to lasers, feather wands, toy mice, balls . . . any toy, really! Here's my morning routine: Playtime lasts for about an hour. Then I like to take a nap. Then it's playtime again, before I need to snuggle with my sis again. I love to cuddle with not only my sister (after I’m done playing with her), but also with Junior, one of the resident adult cats. We absolutely love our big brother! My sister and I are a bonded pair, and we plan to live out our lives together.

Maple will be adopted out with sister Briar Rose. If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this cute duo, please email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please.

CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.

At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.

Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.

Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
