My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rudy is the sweetest guinea pig who is always happy to be held. He is gentle and eager to spend time with people. He came to the shelter recently with another pig who had been bullied him and bit his nose so he is being adopted as a single pig. He would be fine to be kept in a cage next to another pig if you already have one if you will watch to make sure they get along.

Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low maintenance pets that love companionship, delight in cuddles and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of interactive socialization time with their person. They do require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) on a daily basis and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family. If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit or other small critter, please fill out our adoption application on medfieldshelter.com/adopt
