Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please, somebody, adopt me! I’m just a little guy, but I love big adventures. I’m really trying to be a good boy, but nobody ever taught me how, before, and I’m still learning.
Sometimes I get scared and I have to bark really loud to try to make the scary person or thing go away. But I’m learning that not everyone or everything is so bad after all. As long as my human is patient with me and will help me understand, I promise I’ll try to be good and brave.
I’d love to have a human of my own, and maybe a doggy sister to play with.
My foster mom takes good care of me, and I love to play with my foster sister. My foster brothers are too big and bossy, though, and they steal my foster mom’s attention, and I can’t help but feel bad. I want all the attention myself! I love to cuddle and eat yummy things. I really, really love to hike and play in the woods and fields.
Human men are really scary, and so are people I don’t know. I really just want a quiet home in the country with someone who will be patient and understand how scary other people are to me.
I have made friends with a man or two, as long as they give me time to check them out, and they give me yummy treats or take me hiking. But I still feel safer with women. They’re just not so big and scary, and they’re so soft and gentle with me.
I think chasing squirrels is Aussome! I think cats might be just as fun to chase, but my foster mom says no! So I can’t go to a home with inside cats.
I’ve seen little humans before, and they scare me too! They’re noisy and they run around and squeal a lot, or they run at me, or try to grab me, so I have to bark and try to get away. So my foster mom says I shouldn’t go to a home with little humans either, because I might get in trouble. I can’t help it. They’re just so scary!
When my foster mom rescued me, I was really sick, and I was in a noisy, scary place, with a lot of strange dogs and humans. I hurt so bad, and I was so hungry and afraid. But then my whole world changed. My foster mom let me stay here, and made me all better, and gave me good things to eat. I love to romp and play in the woods and get cuddles. It makes me so happy.
I wish I could stay with my foster mom, and I wish she’d put my two big foster brothers up for adoption so I could stay here instead. But my foster mom says they were here first, and she says there is someone out there, somewhere, who can give me just as great a home as this one, and maybe even better. Somewhere I can be the apple of my human’s eye, and maybe only share my human with a new doggy sister.
Could that be you? Please give me a chance to be your ever-loving cuddle buddy and hiking partner. I promise I’ll keep your bed and lap warm, and you’ll never have to go to the bathroom alone!
