Axel is a good-natured, low-maintenance hound who gets on well with kids, dogs and cats. Axel has lots of energy, he’d make a great running companion or really any mental or physical exercise. However he has a great off switch, and nothing makes him happier than cuddling with his people while gnawing on a nylabone or some other tasty treat. Axel adores children, we could totally see him running around with a pile of kids. He walks nicely on a leash, although sometimes he gets distracted by his nose! Axel does have a loud bark but he rarely uses it- he’s pretty quiet! He doesn’t shed much and his hairs are pretty short. He’s loves to wrestle with the other dogs in his foster home, he doesn’t resource guard and he takes corrections well. Axel wants to play with the cat too, although the cat has nothing but disdain for dogs.
