My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert came to us from a rural shelter in Kentucky where he was picked up as a stray. He was found abandoned in a campground. We are estimating him to be about 9 years old. He weighs 12 lbs.

Rupert seems to have had a rough life. He has an old injury on his eye that is healed and he was covered in ticks upon intake. He is slow to warm up to strangers and sometimes will flinch if touched to fast. Rupert bonds to his person and likes to be near them all the time. Although he does not like to be held and picked up he likes to lay with his person. He seems to have a fear of being "handled"

Rupert is currently in a foster home with other dogs but, would much rather be by himself. He does not like to share his foster mom with his roomies and can become protective over his person. He would do best in a QUIET home without a lot of visitors or children.

Rupert is fully vetted but, waiting on his dental appointment that will be paid for by the rescue.

He is available through our Foster-To-Adopt program. ****MUST BE LOCAL TO CLEVELAND, OH****
