My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carman is a dainty border collie mix, approximately 8 years old, that loves to cuddle and be a couch potato with her family. She is an affectionate gal once she gets to know you. In her case, patience makes the heart grow fonder as she apparently has some emotional scarring from her younger years.
She is timid when meeting new people and prefers women over men. Once she does bond to her family, she is also extremely protective in regards to other dogs. She needs to be the ONLY pet, no exceptions. For this reason, we highly recommend a fenced yard for exercise as a means of preventing dog to dog interactions that frequently happens on walks. Her adoption fee is $250 and she is fostered in Danville, IN. You may contact her foster Kathy at 317-902-1018 to meet this cutie.

Our primary media to find our adoptable animals is our Facebook page. It lists a short bio and usually a phone number to contact the foster home directly. We also do public adoption events on a regular basis at our PetSmart home-base in Plainfield, IN. We, occasionally, attend public family events and take animals there when permitted.

More about this rescue

Founded in January 2016, Creekside Animal Rescue provides shelter & care for homeless animals until they are adopted into permanent homes. This is done through a network of loving, committed foster homes spread out in multiple counties. The animals receive a personal commitment from Creekside Animal Rescue when accepted into the rescue family, that they will all ways have a place to call home and never spend the remainder of their days in a shelter ... we take our animals back at any point an adopter can no longer care for the animal.
