Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everyone, meet Sassy, Miss Sassy Pants, or Pretty. Miss Sassy is almost 15 months old and weighs about 50 pounds. She came from a farm where she was an outside only dog. She was surrendered to ASF because she was a little too intense when herding goats and chickens. Her previous owners shaved her due to burrs in her fur. Her coat is growing back as well as her 'sassy pants'.
Sassy has been in foster care for about 2 months, she moved right into her foster home and made herself at home and is now ready to find her furever home. She has really come out of her shell over that time. It took several weeks before her foster parents could get her to really eat, and now she is the first one to be done.
She has never had an accident in the house (her foster home has a doggy door so she goes out when she needs to potty.) It is possible that her adopter may need to work with her a bit on housebreaking if they do not have a doggy door.
Sassy is very submissive, she gives her belly constantly, whether she is being corrected or just wanting attention. She is still very much a puppy and will need patience when training because she is so submissive.
She wants all of the attention and has started grabbing/biting at hands to get the attention she wants. Her foster parents are working to correct this.
SASSY LOVES EVERYONE!! She doesn't know a stranger. She lights up when she sees kids. She loves her foster fur brother Cooper, they play all day. She would really like another fur brother or sister in her furever home to play with and help her to gain confidence. She is a wonderful little girl and will make a great addition to any family.
If you think Sassy would be a good addition to your family, please fill out an application at
https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application. Sassy is being fostered in Marion, Oh.
All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
